Weekend walks for a wire fox terrier

Hello everyone,

now that winter is setting the pace we get to visit the beach much less than we normally do in summer.

An outing to the beach is always so much fun for us Boogie and me.

We often meet lots of friends who like to smell our bums...

Boogie also likes to enjoy the view of Table Mountain!

This is when I made a wish when I saw the rainbow over Table Mountain! I cant tell you what I wished for or else mom sez it will not come true... :-(

Till next time...
lots of puppy love

Ooo, you're wearing a hoodie! J x
HI Norman,
Thanks for sharing your pictures! They are marvelous!
Mom did notice that you were on a lead, was your parent afraid that you go for a dip?
Talk them into getting a 20ft lead, than you'll have some running room to play with your friends!
with wagging tail,
Luna
You look very cute in your hoodie, Norman! We're glad you and Boogie had such a fun day. We love all your pictures, but especially the one with the rainbow. We hope your wish comes true!

Aire-hugs,
Poppy, Penny & Patches

Stripping a WFT is Cruel !

A message from Norman's Mom: As many of you can see (and know) my love for Norman (and all animals in general) is alot. He's growing up now and its getting time for his first trim. I have investigated stripping and I want all WFT owners to understand how strong I feel about NOT STRIPPING him and why. (the pic below can be enlarged for a wallpaper on your pc or cell phone) Why do you STRIP your Wire Fox Terrier: because they say so because everyone else does it to their WFT because its healthy because it brings out the colour because thats what you are supposed to do well, I say all of the above is -to say the least- BS: because they say so: so many people own animals and do with them what the 'breed' guidelines require for them to do. There is absolutely no reason why you have to follow the breed guidelines when it comes to stripping your dog. I say : if the animal is in any way inconvenienced or discomforted, then what THEY SAY is wrong. Its 2007. Those rules ...

My trip to see the Flowers in Langebaan

Hello everyone! Guess where we went today!? You gotta believe it... ... to see the flowers in Langebaan. Jippeee! The west coast of Southern Africa becomes a floral paradise towards the end of our South African winter. Doggies from all over the world come here for endless sniffing and playing. There are so many flowers this time of year, we dont know where to sniff. Boogie and I were not too sure where to start sniffing. There are also lots of mousie holes around here... eh... just a mo, I think I found something here. Lets go to the water Boogie? The Langebaan lagoon is declared a nature sanctury. Mom sez this is where she comes often during the windy summers. I look forward to coming back here then. That seagul swims way faster than we thought :-( "Not to worry, Normie. You will be able to chase many more in time to come, believe me" After a long hard day of sniffing, swimming and playing, we eventually get back into the car and take the hour drive back to Cape Town. So ...
